UNDP at the International Conference on Inclusive Insurance 2025
UNDP will join policymakers, regulators, insurers and practitioners from 40+ countries to advance inclusive insurance for emerging markets. The conference is hosted by FEDESEG, JPRF and the Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros, in cooperation with Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network. UNDP’s Insurance and Risk Finance Facility (IRFF) will spotlight practical pathways to scale agricultural insurance that protect smallholder farmers and rural households.
Why this matters
Globally, over 500 million smallholder farmers face growing climate risks yet lack reliable financial protection. UNDP’s Financial Resilience in Agriculture (FRA) initiative supports governments and market players to make agricultural insurance affordable, scalable and sustainable through policy, regulation, public programmes and financing that work together.
